Field Services Supervisor

Provides leadership, oversight and technical support to the completion of tasks related to the implementation and maintenance of soil remediation activities primarily for clients in the oil and gas industry, in a variety of environments and with varying construction excavation requirements and conditions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide leadership, mentoring, and training of field technicians.
Assist in managing project budgets through daily and weekly oversight of labor and materials in field.
Provide technical expertise to clients and field technicians.
Daily and weekly scheduling of crew.
Ensure necessary materials have been ordered and are available for each project timely and in cost effective manner.
Ensure JSA’s, daily work tickets and employee time is recorded accurately for each project.
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Support and adhere to company policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Experienced in proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in construction work.
Experienced/certified equipment operator (skid steer, backhoe, lift).
Experienced/certified driver able to tow equipment (skid steer, backhoe, lift) with pick-up/trailer.
Ability to use technical field screening and sampling equipment.
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to lead and supervise a crew of 2-4 individuals.
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, sit and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under sometimes adverse field conditions.
Ability to professionally communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

High school Diploma or GED. At least 2 years’ experience in the construction field with at least 1-year prior supervisory experience.
Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions, work long days and travel to sites 1-2 hours from headquarters on a regular basis (company vehicle is provided).

ENVIRONMENT:

Regularly works in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold and exposure to dust, and potential oil and gas particulates.
Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. Requires repeated hand motion.
Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to and including 100lbs for long distances.
Willingness to regularly work 10-12-hour days due to project requirements.
Some overnight travel is required.
Excellent stamina is required

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver’s license prior to employment with a clean driving record.
Must be able to pass pre-employment, random, post-accident and background drug/alcohol screens as applicable.
